Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable Tier-1 services for order planning and fulfillment optimization.
- Own architecture across distributed systems involving gRPC, Kafka, and multi-region deployments.
- Write production code in Kotlin and Java, ensuring correctness and performance.
- Lead design and code reviews to identify issues in latency-sensitive order flows.
- Drive reliability for mission-critical services through observability and incident prevention.
- Partner with Product and Data Science to translate optimization goals into technical execution.
- Mentor engineers and create scalable technical mechanisms.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in high-scale distributed systems with strict latency and reliability requirements.
- Excellent coding skills in Kotlin or Java for backend systems.
- Deep understanding of system design, including API design and concurrency.
- Strong code review skills to identify issues in complex codebases.
- Experience with production-grade systems handling high QPS and large data volumes.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka.
- Experience with multi-region systems and resilience engineering.
- Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring.
