Responsibilities
- Designs and develops scalable, resilient systems using Java and AWS.
- Executes software design, development, troubleshooting, and maintenance across complex applications.
- Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms integrated with related systems.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Produces architecture and design artifacts and ensures implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyzes large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve software applications, coding practices, and system architecture.
- Participates in software engineering communities of practice and contributes to an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Requires formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Requires hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Requires proficiency in Java and understanding and use of AWS Cloud.
- Requires experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Requires knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Requires the ability to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Requires understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Requires understanding of agile practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.
