Base Salary
$171k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops to define business objectives, constraints, and measurable success criteria for AI/ML initiatives.
- Translate requirements into target-state architectures across data, ML/AI, application integration, security, and governance.
- Define tradeoffs involving accuracy, latency, cost, reliability, privacy, and risk for executive and technical audiences.
- Design data and model lifecycles covering pipelines, training or fine-tuning, serving, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
- Establish MLOps and LLMOps foundations and integration patterns for enterprise systems, including APIs, events, workflows, IAM, and observability.
- Partner with security, privacy, and risk teams to embed access, auditability, data-handling, and responsible-AI controls.
- Produce architecture diagrams, reference patterns, implementation roadmaps, runbooks, and architecture reviews.
- Mentor AI/ML teams and build reusable reference architectures, templates, accelerators, and evaluation scorecards.
- Lead AI/ML delivery programs, proposal solutioning, estimates, technical writing, and client build-versus-buy decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in data science, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Manager-level candidates need at least five years of hands-on developer experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence stacks.
- Director-level candidates need at least two years of experience leading teams of AI/ML architects and developers.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering production AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong grounding in cloud architecture, distributed systems, and modern data platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with MLOps, model lifecycles, monitoring, governance, and deployment automation.
- Experience implementing privacy, access controls, auditability, and responsible-AI practices with security and risk partners.
- Ability to lead senior client stakeholders through ambiguous decisions and develop long-standing client relationships.
- Experience with AI patterns such as RAG and agentic systems.
- Preferred experience includes regulated environments such as SOX, HIPAA, PCI, and model risk management.
- Experience mentoring colleagues and guiding clients on AI/ML build-versus-buy decisions.
- Fluent spoken and written English communication skills and a flexible, adaptable, self-starting approach.
- Prior consulting or internal consulting experience is preferred.
- Must be currently eligible to work in the United States.
