
Principal, Strategic Solution Engineer - Nonprofits

Responsibilities
- Act as the principal foundation and grantmaking subject-matter expert across the Solution Engineering organization.
- Own solution strategy and technical direction for the largest and most complex foundation and grantmaking opportunities.
- Lead discovery workshops and executive briefings with C-level, IT, and program stakeholders.
- Architect and present tailored demonstrations and solution designs on the Salesforce platform.
- Own strategic RFI/RFP responses and competitive positioning for grantmaking deals.
- Partner with sales leadership, post-sales, product management, and marketing on go-to-market strategy.
- Provide product roadmap input based on customer and field feedback.
- Coach and enable solution engineers and sales teams on grantmaking domain knowledge.
- Represent Salesforce at grantmaking and philanthropy industry events and webinars.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant foundation/grantmaking technology and/or solution engineering experience.
- Proven success leading complex strategic sales cycles with measurable business-value outcomes.
- Executive-level communication skills and comfort presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of cloud SaaS solutions, web technologies, and the Salesforce platform.
- Ability to operate independently as a senior technical leader and mentor others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
- Direct practitioner or systems-owner experience at a large foundation or grantmaking organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, including Nonprofit Cloud and Grants Management, is preferred.
- Salesforce Administrator certification or Trailhead Ranger status is preferred.
- Experience speaking or publishing on grantmaking or philanthropy technology trends is preferred.
- An MBA is a plus but is not required.

- The typical base salary range is $182,770–$244,510 annually; certain locations have a range of $201,110–$269,080 annually.
