Responsibilities
- Define and drive the enterprise Platform Engineering and Infrastructure as Code strategy using Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
- Lead architecture and implementation of datacenter technologies across bare-metal and virtualized infrastructure.
- Build standardized self-service pipelines across on-premise, OpenShift, and AWS hybrid-cloud environments.
- Establish architectural governance and automated security and compliance guardrails in a regulated financial environment.
- Integrate Generative AI tools into the automation ecosystem to improve engineering velocity, code development, and autonomous operations.
- Provide technical expertise in Linux performance tuning, observability, and operating-system lifecycle management.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to Automation and Systems Engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or Platform Engineering in an enterprise context.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant job experience.
- Deep expertise in self-hosted physical datacenters and RedHat Linux, including PXE, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, LVM/XFS, host-based firewalls, SSH configuration, and performance tuning.
- Expertise in large-scale Infrastructure as Code strategies using Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
- Expert knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform, OpenShift Virtualization, and VMware.
- Experience with RedHat Satellite and expert familiarity with NetApp, PURE Storage, and Portworx.
- Experience architecting and using Splunk Observability/Cloud and Grafana.
- Advanced proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools to automate complex workflows.
- Strong enterprise-level verbal and written communication and leadership skills.

- The salary range is CAD $125/hour to $145/hour.
