Responsibilities
- Define the technical roadmap and vision for quality engineering across the software development lifecycle.
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade automation frameworks for mobile, web, and API ecosystems.
- Architect performance, load, scalability, security, and vulnerability testing infrastructure.
- Integrate continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback and support reliable deployments.
- Evaluate, prototype, and implement commercial, open-source, and AI-driven testing tools.
- Mentor QE engineers on automation patterns, code quality, system design, and technical practices.
- Measure and improve test execution time, flake rates, infrastructure costs, coverage, escaped defects, pipeline feedback, and platform resiliency.
Requirements
- 12+ years of QA/QE experience in SaaS or product-based companies.
- At least 4+ years operating specifically as a QA/QE Architect or Principal Engineer.
- Proven experience designing and implementing custom enterprise-grade automation frameworks from scratch.
- Deep experience testing native or hybrid Android/iOS applications, web applications, and microservices/API systems.
- Experience architecting test environments, service mocks, and test data in AWS, including EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Hands-on proficiency with Node.js, REST Assured, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, and/or Playwright.
- Experience working alongside applications built with Angular, React.js, and Express.js.
- Extensive experience configuring and tuning automated test execution in Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and modern software design patterns.
- Preferred experience includes industrial SaaS or enterprise platforms, security testing and vulnerability assessment, test orchestration and observability tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and shift-left testing practices.
