Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure software components and applications.
- Write high-quality code with limited guidance while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs.
- Apply technical troubleshooting to solve problems of basic complexity.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making in application development.
- Apply SDLC processes and engineering practices to build secure, stable, and resilient systems.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, distributed databases, messaging systems, gRPC, high-traffic low-latency systems, and system design.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise code using modern programming and database-query languages.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development, Java 17+, microservices, AWS deployment, Terraform, and Oracle or PostgreSQL experience.
