Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Discover, evaluate, and integrate new datasets in partnership with stakeholders, including pipeline development, data modeling, and documentation.
- Manage data assets across their lifecycle while maintaining context and coordinating with ingestion and solution data engineering partners.
- Translate product and analytical goals into reliable, secure, modular data pipelines, including data structures, scheduled transformations, and quality improvements.
- Set company standards for data engineering practices, architectural approaches, pipeline design, and technology integration.
- Lead initiatives to collect, explore, and model data and establish quality checks in collaboration with cross-functional data users.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical partners.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including identifying patterns, anomalies, and meaningful insights; healthcare experience is preferred.
- Expertise designing, developing, and optimizing reliable, modular, secure data pipelines and data foundations for applications, analytics, and machine learning.
- Ability to independently lead ambiguous data initiatives from requirements through completion while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: 5+ years designing, building, and operating cloud-based, highly available, observable, and scalable data platforms with large, diverse production datasets.
- Preferred: relevant data architecture certifications, such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Data Engineer or Solutions Architect Professional, SnowPro Advanced Architect/Data Engineer, Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer, or dbt Analytics Engineering.
- Preferred: experience with MLOps or developing and maintaining machine learning models and infrastructure.
- Preferred: experience with Sigma, Looker, Tableau, or similar analytics and data visualization technologies.
- Preferred: a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
