Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines while establishing DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes environments across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Implement platform engineering tools, developer portals, and self-service capabilities through an internal developer platform.
- Define monitoring, alerting, and observability standards to support infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to technical decisions, cloud technology evaluation, platform standardization, and risk reduction.
- Collaborate across development, operations, Engineering, Security, and FinOps teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain documentation and knowledge-sharing practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud networking, including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, BGP, OSPF, Layer 2/3 networking, MPLS, DNS, load balancing, and traffic management.
- 2+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with AWX, Ansible Tower, Terragrunt, and scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of security practices including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance.
- 2+ years of Kubernetes administration across on-premises and cloud environments, with EKS preferred and experience with AKS or GKE.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes networking, RBAC, pod security, Istio, and Docker image management.
- Experience implementing Backstage, JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, API gateways, and internal self-service platform tools.
- Hands-on experience with Honeycomb, Prometheus, and Grafana for monitoring and observability.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and IaaS/PaaS architectural patterns.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
- Ability to operate autonomously, contribute to engineering standards, make complex technical decisions, and mentor other engineers.
