Platform Engineering & DevOps Engineer – AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD & DevSecOps
SynechronResponsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable platform infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop self-service capabilities, reusable platform components, Infrastructure as Code, and standardized environments for development teams.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning and deployments, and integrate security, compliance, quality, validation, rollback, and recovery controls.
- Deploy and administer Docker and Kubernetes environments, including cluster upgrades, troubleshooting, service mesh, ingress, container security, and microservices delivery.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, service-level indicators, incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Optimize cloud performance, availability, scalability, disaster recovery, resource utilization, and infrastructure costs.
- Collaborate with Development, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams; provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, and contribute to platform standards and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker and Kubernetes; Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
- Proficiency in Python, Shell Script, or PowerShell, plus Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps, identity and access management, secrets management, secure networking, vulnerability management, container security, and pipeline security controls.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, performance optimization, incident management, reliability engineering, and operational support capabilities.
- Preferred experience includes multiple or hybrid cloud environments, service mesh, ingress controllers, microservices, high availability, disaster recovery, multi-region architecture, cost optimization, platform portals, deployment strategies, and mentoring.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
