Responsibilities
- Design biometric solutions and define data models, use cases, roles, permissions, assumptions, risks, and scope.
- Write code for data migrations, automation, migration tooling, and custom delivery tools.
- Lead technical implementations, integrations, migrations, proof-of-concepts, gap analyses, sizing, and deployments.
- Produce Factory Acceptance Test documents, quality analyses, deduplication reports, diagrams, presentations, and other technical documentation.
- Serve as the customer's primary technical counterpart and acceptance authority for the technical solution.
- Deliver customer training and explain biometric accuracy, analysis results, and technical decisions to business and technical audiences.
- Work across solution clusters, R&D, product, support, and pre-sales, and feed project learnings into the product roadmap.
- Lead complex biometric migrations and integrations with third-party platforms.
Requirements
- Recent hands-on programming experience in at least one mainstream language such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or a similar language.
- Working SQL skills, ability to read unfamiliar schemas, and comfort analyzing real datasets.
- Experience translating customer needs into scope, assumptions, risks, and solution decisions.
- Ability to design solutions end to end and document the reasoning behind technical decisions.
- Ability to manage scope and changes, communicate options, and align customers and colleagues.
- Strong spoken and written English communication, including analyses, diagrams, and presentations.
- University degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or similar; a business or economics degree is acceptable with real hands-on engineering experience.
- Willingness to travel on short business trips.
- Fluent English and French required; additional languages are a plus.
- Preferred experience includes REST API design and integration, message queues, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Keycloak, biometric solutions, criminal case management, document issuance, ICAO interchange formats, technical workshops, or conference presentations.
