Responsibilities
- Develop quality software and effective unit tests according to clean code principles and company standards.
- Build product features and standardized cloud infrastructure and application deployment solutions across multiple products.
- Design robust, scalable systems using object-oriented and functional programming approaches and event-driven microservices architecture.
- Influence software design and implementation through technical proposals, reviews, and story-level design leadership.
- Debug complex enterprise applications, triage operational issues, eliminate repeat occurrences, and provide day-to-day systems support.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, define subtasks, and seek stakeholder feedback.
- Evaluate and coach engineers on technical and interpersonal best practices.
- Consider information security during coding and code reviews and stay current with technology trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field.
- Minimum eight years of software development experience.
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Bash, web technologies, object-oriented design, and Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
- Experience debugging and diagnosing issues in complex enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, and the DevSecOps domain.
- Intermediate understanding of virtualization and private, hybrid, and public cloud computing concepts.
- Intermediate understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services, particularly on Azure.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, Event Hubs, Elasticsearch, and Snowflake.
