Responsibilities
- Develop backend software for the navify healthcare platform using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build AI/LLM-powered backend services and tools.
- Design and implement clean, stable, testable, performant, and future-proof backend architectures.
- Work with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Implement and integrate OpenID Connect and identity and access management solutions such as Keycloak.
- Participate in code reviews, test coverage efforts, quality activities, and CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product owners, and QA experts in cross-functional teams.
- Guide and share knowledge with other engineers.
- Contribute to software quality, security, privacy, resilience, and medical-software requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, including at least 2 years as a backend engineer.
- Experience with Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3+.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with OpenID Connect and Keycloak or a comparable open-source single sign-on and identity and access management product.
- Experience building AI/LLM-powered backend services and tools.
- Experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
- Strong interest in clean code, technical design, testing, performance, and future-proof architectures.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with automated testing using Selenium or Selenide.
- Preferred knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of medical, security, and privacy regulations is a bonus.
- Knowledge of diabetes or comparable healthcare industries is a bonus.
