Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable and highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services.
  • Design and develop customer applications optimized for the cloud.
  • Lead technical collaboration with customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
  • Apply software development knowledge to cloud architecture, design patterns, and programming.
  • Advise on and implement AWS best practices.
  • Work as both an infrastructure and application development specialist.
  • Deliver pilots, topical workshops, architecture reviews, and implementation projects.
  • Implement infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment practices.
  • Travel to client locations to deliver professional services as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of database experience, including technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Kinesis.
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solution, system, network, and operating system experience using AWS or an equivalent platform.
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing experience managing complex and large-scale projects.
  • Preferred experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
  • Preferred experience with external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management.
