Responsibilities

  • Architect and build high-performance, fault-tolerant Linux daemons with C/C++ and POSIX APIs.
  • Design and implement custom PAM modules and integrate Linux systems with Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD, and enterprise identity providers.
  • Implement cryptographic security and automate X.509 PKI certificate lifecycles, mTLS configurations, and related cryptographic operations.
  • Harden Linux environments using Seccomp, SELinux, AppArmor, secure coding standards, and memory-safety practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve network and protocol bottlenecks or security flaws using TCP/IP analysis and tracing tools.
  • Use AI coding tools and review AI-generated code for zero-trust security, memory safety, architectural integrity, and performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Linux systems programming, enterprise security engineering, or low-level software architecture.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, POSIX APIs, CMake, Make, GCC/Clang, GDB, and Bash.
  • Deep knowledge of IPC, Unix sockets, shared memory, message queues, pthreads, epoll, io_uring, daemon development, and manual memory management.
  • API-level experience with OpenSSL or WolfSSL, TLS 1.2/1.3, mTLS, X.509 PKI, PEM/DER encoding, symmetric and asymmetric ciphers, HMAC, and constant-time cryptographic programming.
  • Experience developing PAM modules and integrating Active Directory, LDAP, SSSD, Kerberos/GSSAPI, and OAuth2/OIDC.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, socket-level programming, Seccomp, AppArmor, SELinux, tcpdump, and Wireshark.
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude, with familiarity with AI spec-driven development practices such as Plan/BMAD modes.
