Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Deliver product features on tight schedules and help drive the product roadmap.
- Lead and mentor a small team of intermediate developers through guidance and code reviews.
- Set technical direction and uphold code quality, architecture, and best practices.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product, and design teams to deliver features.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience designing and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Solid understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
- Proven ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading developers.
- Familiarity with version control, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is desirable.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
