Responsibilities
- Integrate features from development branches into integration, product, and release branches.
- Manage branching, merging, rebasing, synchronization, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Maintain repository structure, hygiene, coding standards, commit quality, and change discipline.
- Identify and prevent broken builds, incompatible feature merges, and cross-team regressions.
- Ensure integrated code builds cleanly across supported configurations.
- Run or gate merges on smoke tests, sanity tests, and regression test results.
- Triage integration failures and drive resolution with feature owners.
- Maintain a green, releasable product branch and communicate integration status and risks.
- Coordinate with feature development, validation, QA, release, and program-management teams.
- Support release tagging, branching, handoff, traceability, and root-cause analysis of integration issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- 9–13 years of experience, as indicated in the job title.
- Strong experience with Git-based workflows, including merging, rebasing, cherry-picking, and conflict resolution.
- Solid understanding of software and firmware development lifecycles.
- Hands-on experience with CI and build systems and integration gating.
- Strong debugging skills for isolating integration-related failures.
- Experience working across teams and driving issues to closure.
- Experience in firmware, embedded systems, or system software environments.
- Familiarity with release management in multi-branch, multi-product codebases.
- Experience enforcing or defining branching and release policies.
- Exposure to validation, regression, or bring-up environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
