Responsibilities

  • Build robust backend services and APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Design and build user-friendly features, applications, and web pages for marketplace and workforce management tools.
  • Own selected roadmap features through design, development, testing, release, and post-release support.
  • Collaborate with internal users to gather feedback and plan platform features.
  • Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and promote maintainable, high-quality code.
  • Write automated tests and contribute to test-driven development practices.
  • Participate in on-call incident handling, postmortem analysis, and remediation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or other backend engineering frameworks.
  • 4+ years of industry experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database design and SQL.
  • 3+ years of professional experience building frontend web applications with React, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI, including ownership of the release process.
  • Preferred: experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: exposure to cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Preferred: experience managing RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS for asynchronous processing and inter-service communication.
  • Preferred: experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and with profiling tools and load testing.
  • Must be able to work in-office at the company headquarters in Downtown Dallas.
