Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, debug, and troubleshoot software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with related systems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are reflected in the code.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, create visualizations and reporting, and use identified patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Guide peers on safe and effective AI use in engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages, including Java, Python, or scripting languages.
- Practical cloud-native experience with AWS.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred experience or knowledge of API Gateways and security.
