Base Salary
$130k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop features and enhancements for Vultr’s cloud storage product portfolio.
- Manage operational health, troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis for storage platforms.
- Build automation tools, reference implementations, technical documentation, training materials, onboarding resources, knowledge articles, and runbooks.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, product evaluations, and performance testing of storage features.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define requirements and influence product direction.
- Advocate for storage design, deployment, and operations best practices and monitor emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in storage systems engineering with product development, enablement, and operational responsibilities.
- Experience building and managing distributed storage products, preferably with Ceph or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Linux systems and Python and Bash scripting.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and containerization technologies, including KVM and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in technical documentation, enablement, and training, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
