Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation for customer technical and business needs.
- Own solution design, proof-of-concept or proof-of-value engagements, workshops, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams on customer acquisition and expansion strategies.
- Build relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide them through digital transformation and GitLab adoption.
- Advise customers on software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices.
- Share customer feedback, use cases, and competitive insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Maintain expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies while creating reusable customer and partner collateral.
Requirements
- Experience in customer-facing technical pre-sales, consulting, solution design, or technical evaluation roles.
- Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, continuous integration and continuous deployment, and collaboration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related technologies, including deployment, security, and operations options.
- Experience leading proofs of concept or value, tenders or audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior business or technical decision makers.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, listen empathetically, advocate for customers, and collaborate with internal teams.
- Motivation to continue learning technologies and deepen GitLab platform expertise.
