
Sr AWS Sales Engineer

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for assigned AWS partners.
- Drive AWS adoption, cloud strategy, and partner growth initiatives.
- Identify, develop, and advance new business opportunities.
- Lead technical discovery, solution architecture, and presales engagements.
- Design and validate AWS solutions involving infrastructure, networking, security, IAM, governance, resiliency, and cloud operations.
- Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.
- Collaborate with Sales, Services, Architecture, and Delivery teams on scalable solutions.
- Create and review Statements of Work and ensure solution readiness.
- Maintain pipeline, forecasting, and CRM records.
- Mentor Sales Engineers and contribute to technical enablement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Technical Consulting, or related roles.
- At least 6 years of hands-on AWS experience designing and supporting cloud solutions.
- Demonstrated success leading complex presales engagements and technical sales cycles.
- Experience driving business growth through customer or partner relationships.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, cloud-native architectures, networking, security, IAM, governance, and resiliency.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into measurable business value.
- Executive-level communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, and AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
- Preferred experience includes supporting AWS Partner Network partners, MSPs, VARs, systems integrators, or consulting partners; knowledge of AWS Marketplace, funding programs, incentives, and partner programs; and experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and cloud automation.
