Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and implementation of feature sets for on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Lead feature delivery, including development and testing of patches and hotfixes.
- Assess technical risks, communicate deliverables and timelines, and follow through on commitments.
- Develop tools that help support engineers diagnose and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of product defects and performance issues and implement validated fixes.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, designers, QA, support, field teams, and customers.
Requirements
- Typically requires 3–5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, a PhD with 3 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong coding experience in C, C++, Go, Python, Java, or comparable languages.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems on Linux and Windows.
- Experience with enterprise-class data protection products.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms and SaaS architecture.
- Experience using JIRA, GitHub, GDB, and Python Debugger.
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, testing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of microservices and agile/scrum methodologies; AI/ML experience is a plus.
- Ability to articulate design and implementation choices, simplify complex concepts, make data-informed decisions, and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows, productivity, and decision-making.
