Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and advance embedded software architectures for connected device products.
- Lead technical direction for AI-enabled capabilities across multiple product lines.
- Collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to integrate emerging AI approaches.
- Establish and enforce standards for embedded software and AI system design.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI systems.
- Provide executive-level guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Continuously improve software engineering practices through strategic retrospectives.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience with expertise in C/C++, Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep expertise in embedded systems architecture and firmware integration.
- Proven experience designing and operating machine learning models at scale.
- Practical experience with large-scale AI systems and foundation models.
- Track record of resolving system-wide challenges in performance and reliability.
- At least 7+ years mentoring senior engineers and leading strategic initiatives.
- Advanced understanding of computer science fundamentals and software design practices.
- Experience with networking and distributed system concepts relevant to connected devices.
