Base Salary
$203k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and delivery of complex initiatives spanning balance verification, scheduled rule execution, and event-driven reconciliation.
- Partner with platform teams to translate business requirements into robust, well-tested system designs.
- Build and maintain production-grade services with rigorous automated test coverage.
- Author and maintain architecture decision records and technical specifications.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, model strong engineering practices, and mentor engineers.
- Identify and communicate delivery risks with recommendations and recovery plans.
- Investigate ambiguity, document assumptions, and drive stakeholders toward decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated staff-level ownership of complex, distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Experience designing and operating event-driven, high-reliability financial or transactional systems.
- Deep commitment to automated testing, including integration and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and production schema and migration management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document design decisions and drive stakeholder alignment.
- A demonstrated track record of managing delivery risk and owning work from design through production.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Kafka or stream-processing frameworks such as Flink is a plus.
