Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt across existing codebases.
- Refactor and re-platform legacy .NET and C# applications onto cloud-native AWS architectures.
- Decompose monolithic systems into loosely coupled microservices and APIs.
- Migrate workloads using Lambda, containers, Step Functions, Temporal, and managed cloud services.
- Modernize databases and schemas using Flyway and build containerized services with Docker.
- Author repeatable infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Apply event-driven architecture, CQRS, domain-driven design, observability, and scalable software design practices.
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and other AI-assisted tools for code analysis, refactoring, test generation, and documentation.
- Establish modernization patterns, engineering standards, architectural documentation, and reusable blueprints.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Product, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver modernization work with minimal product disruption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, including legacy modernization, refactoring, or re-platforming work.
- Proficiency in .NET and C# across legacy and modern application codebases.
- Understanding of SOLID, clean architecture, domain-driven design, and separation of concerns.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices with clear API contracts.
- Hands-on AWS cloud-native development experience with one or more of Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, SQS, or SNS.
- Familiarity with Docker and deployment in containerized environments.
- Experience with Git and GitHub collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to communicate technical complexity clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Temporal, Flyway, Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, EventBridge, Kafka, and safe schema evolution.
- Preferred familiarity with event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and Agile/Scrum development.
- Demonstrated record of building simple, well-structured systems.
