Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise, innovation, and project coordination or leadership for modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities.
- Lead customer engagement efforts and advise stakeholders and government customers on modeling and simulation workflows.
- Serve as the primary contact for multiple programs or activities supporting major department-level technical efforts.
- Mentor junior technical staff and emerging software developers.
- Develop technical briefings and reports communicating software progress and recommended design solutions.
- Manage the development and maintenance of corporate modeling and simulation tools and associated workflows.
- Engage software users and customers to refine capability requirements.
- Design software architectures and assist with integrating new workflows.
- Travel as needed to support customer efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related STEM major.
- At least six years of related and progressive experience in modeling and simulation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in C++, including designing, developing, and testing production-level software.
- Experience with modern software development, integration, and testing practices.
- Ability to serve as a technical lead for a software project team.
- Experience with software configuration-management and collaboration tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, or GitHub.
- Experience mentoring and training emerging software developers.
- Strong technical writing, presentation, collaboration, and cross-team influence skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to corporate or customer locations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, CMake experience, HPC software optimization, space-domain modeling and simulation, sensor phenomenology, modern software architecture, containerization platforms, cloud-based simulation, distributed architecture, and relevant Intelligence Community or Department of Defense knowledge.
- Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph and special programs access is preferred.
