Responsibilities
- Support the design of data and technology solutions across cloud, on-premises, and government-hosted environments.
- Translate mission needs into technical requirements and designs with architects and engineers.
- Document systems, data flows, integrations, constraints, and modernization opportunities.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, interface documentation, decision records, and other technical materials.
- Research technologies and technical approaches and summarize benefits, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Apply reference architectures, integration patterns, technical standards, and engineering practices.
- Participate in technical discovery sessions, design discussions, demonstrations, and customer meetings.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Technical Leads to resolve questions and align implementation with solution designs.
- Communicate technical concepts, progress, questions, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Zero to three years of relevant professional experience.
- Foundational understanding of software, data, cloud, systems, or application architecture concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, investigate unfamiliar problems, receive feedback, and work through completion.
- Ability to operate professionally in a customer-facing environment and navigate evolving requirements.
- U.S. citizenship and an active DoW Secret or higher clearance are required per client requirements.
- Preferred experience includes software development, data engineering, systems engineering, cloud computing, technical architecture, programming, APIs, databases, data pipelines, data modeling, distributed systems, Databricks, Apache Spark, Tableau, Git, AI/ML concepts, or LLM-based tools.
