Responsibilities
- Design and scale distributed systems for customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and financial-crime detection.
- Own risk systems end to end from initial design through live production metrics.
- Set technical strategy and make critical architectural decisions for high-throughput, event-driven risk architecture.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, and Data Science to convert regulatory requirements into performant software.
- Mentor senior technical talent and communicate distributed-architecture concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of deep Java expertise using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience building event-driven architectures with Kafka and SQL.
- Experience owning systems through design, implementation, and production operation.
- Ability to explain complex distributed-system architecture to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Proven experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Prior AML, KYC, or fraud-prevention experience is a preferred qualification.
