Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and implement enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware domains.
  • Own and deliver Enterprise Voice upgrades, remediation efforts, implementations, integrations, automation, and technical initiatives through production deployment.
  • Develop internal tools, APIs, automation, reusable Python services and scripts, dashboards, lightweight applications, and engineering utilities.
  • Apply monitoring, automation, optimization, security, governance, and compliance practices to improve infrastructure availability, performance, reliability, and supportability.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and voice technology issues and evaluate technical solutions based on security, operational impact, architecture, risk, dependencies, and long-term supportability.
  • Collaborate with Voice Engineering, Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, IAM, Architecture, Operations, Risk, application development teams, and vendors.
  • Review infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and technical standards, and provide guidance to lower-level technical professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.
  • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Teams Calling, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, SIP, session border controllers, PSTN connectivity, voice gateways, call routing, dial plans, and related integrations.
  • Preferred experience remediating cybersecurity findings, vulnerabilities, audit observations, compliance requirements, architecture standards, and risk items in regulated enterprise environments.
  • Preferred experience with Python services and scripts, REST API integrations, automation workflows, lightweight front-end applications, dashboards, and engineering portals.
  • Preferred proficiency with GitLab CI/CD pipeline authoring, automated testing, deployment controls, security scanning integration, Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, playbooks, inventories, job templates, and workflow templates.
  • Preferred infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code experience using Terraform or equivalent technologies and Open Policy Agent, with deployment experience in Azure, AWS, enterprise container platforms, or other approved hosting environments.
  • Preferred experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, generate, refactor, test, document, and mature code into secure, maintainable, observable, supportable production solutions.
  • Ability to analyze ambiguous technical problems, challenge assumptions, identify dependencies and risks, evaluate solution paths, and recommend practical approaches.
