Responsibilities

Deliver feature sets that support revenue growth and customer journey capabilities.
Architect, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and cloud-native Node.js applications.
Design and build Node.js applications for edge runtimes, including CDN-based compute and serverless edge functions.
Design NoSQL databases and search indexes for end-to-end API flows.
Address complex technical challenges involving scale, performance, caching, latency, and runtime constraints.
Mentor engineering peers and uphold high standards for code quality and development practices.
Champion modern, maintainable infrastructure and influence technical decisions across the organization.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
At least 6 years of API development experience.
Expert programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.
Hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating Node.js applications on AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.
Experience with edge execution models, request/response transformation, caching strategies, latency optimization, and runtime constraints.
Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, search technologies such as OpenSearch, and graph databases.
Familiarity with API standards and frameworks and the ability to evaluate cost, risk, and effort trade-offs.
Experience mentoring engineers and influencing decision makers.
Preferred experience with AI-assisted coding tools, automated test generation, code review support, documentation acceleration, workflow automation, GitHub Copilot, Claude, and GitHub Actions.
Strong problem-solving, written and spoken communication, and distributed-team collaboration skills.

Full-time weekly schedule with occasional travel and day shifts.
Currently hybrid work model; work arrangements may evolve based on future business needs.
