Responsibilities
- Develop microservices-based, event-driven backend solutions focused on customer outcomes and experiences.
- Build and deploy secure, performant, reliable, resilient, and distributed applications across private and public cloud platforms.
- Take ownership of developed software, including its maintenance characteristics and adherence to technology standards and frameworks.
- Collaborate within small, cross-functional teams of software engineers and product managers.
- Support the modernization and cloud deployment of Mastercard’s mission-critical MDES payment services.
Requirements
- Experience developing server-side backend applications and technologies.
- Professional experience developing with Java.
- Experience using the Spring Framework or a similar framework.
- Experience building event-driven applications.
- Knowledge of technologies such as databases, messaging systems, caches, API gateways, networking, and pipelines is desirable.
- Experience with Jenkins, Splunk, Oracle, Apache Kafka, or Redis is desirable.
- Experience using AI as a development companion is desirable.
