Responsibilities
- Participate in prioritization discussions with product and business stakeholders.
- Own delivery tasks across design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation.
- Drive code, design, and process trade-off discussions within the team.
- Develop high-quality, secure, modular, functional, and testable backend software.
- Report status and manage risks for the primary application or service.
- Conduct product demonstrations and acceptance discussions with product owners.
- Promote technology standards and frameworks and review coding, testing, and automation work.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and share reusable patterns, libraries, and practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with server-side backend applications, microservices architectures, Java, Spring, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience conducting unit, component, integrated, and functional testing using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate, share knowledge, take initiative, and learn new technologies.
- Experience in an Agile environment, event architectures such as Kafka, metrics or reporting tools such as Grafana and Splunk, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry is preferred.
