Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack CMS applications across front-end, back-end, and database layers.
- Develop custom Liferay Portal and DXP modules using Java.
- Build and enhance user-facing features using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.
- Integrate and manage Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and sustain classified and unclassified CV/UCV environments.
- Diagnose and resolve application defects, performance issues, and system bugs.
- Perform application testing and validation.
- Use Azure DevOps and Git for source control, versioning, branching, and CI/CD workflows.
- Support deployments in secure, closed network environments.
- Create technical documentation, SOPs, and deployment procedures.
- Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to users and internal teams.
- Provide stakeholder updates through reports, demonstrations, and status updates.
- Collaborate with technical teams on architecture and delivery alignment.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of relevant software development experience.
- College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of Linux experience building, configuring, and administering servers within the last 10 years.
- Strong full-stack development experience within CMS platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Liferay customization, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile development practices.
- Experience with testing, debugging, and bug resolution.
- Experience administering RHEL, Alma Linux, or Ubuntu environments.
- Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Experience in secure, government, or defence environments.
- Strong technical documentation and training delivery experience.
- Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance.
