Responsibilities
- Design application-level architecture and participate in architecture design teams.
- Develop complex software applications, REST APIs, components, and subsystems across multiple platforms.
- Build and maintain transactional data scripts, SQL/PLSQL queries, and database functions.
- Design and develop CI/CD pipelines and deploy cloud-compliant web applications and microservices.
- Define project life-cycle plans, coordinate schedules and assignments, manage risks, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Review test plans, recommend development testing tools and methodologies, and ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Act as a liaison with business units to resolve project and technology issues and advise senior management on technical strategy.
- Document applications and subsystems and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in one of those fields and three years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and supporting Spring-based projects using Java and Spring frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, object-oriented programming and design, and enterprise financial services applications.
- Experience with SQL/PLSQL, TOAD, SQL Developer, Azure SQL MI, Oracle, and DB2.
- Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies, Jira, Splunk, Datadog, Bitbucket/Git, Azure or AWS, JMeter, and Log4J.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube, Gradle, and Maven.
- Experience deploying multithreaded cloud-compliant web applications using WebSphere and Tomcat to Azure and AWS services.
- Ability to perform complex technical and functional analysis, develop creative technical solutions, advise management, and mentor junior team members.
