Responsibilities

  • Design and build large, distributed systems spanning multiple applications or domains.
  • Define and implement application-level architecture and develop applications, components, and subsystems for complex projects.
  • Evaluate system performance, resiliency, security, and long-term stability needs.
  • Shape CI/CD strategies involving automation, security scanning, and performance checks.
  • Participate in architecture design teams and recommend development testing tools, methodologies, policies, and standards.
  • Review and validate test plans and ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develop documentation, project life-cycle plans, schedules, assignments, estimates, release activities, and production deployment plans.
  • Advise on risk management, technical strategy, project issues, and technology initiatives while coordinating with business units and senior management.
  • Perform complex technical and functional analysis, root-cause analysis, and solution development across multiple projects.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a relevant master’s degree and three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing batch services, REST APIs, web application frameworks, and enterprise cloud services using Java or J2EE.
  • Expertise with Java platforms and web applications using Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Angular, and MyBatis or JPA.
  • Experience deploying cloud-native applications in containerized, cloud-agnostic, highly available, and scalable environments using Azure cloud services and Docker images.
  • Experience building CI/CD with GitHub, Jenkins, UDeploy, or Veracode.
  • Experience developing shared libraries and common frameworks with Spring technologies and microservices.
  • Experience applying machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts to statistical use cases using Python.
  • Experience automating code testing with Cucumber, Karate API Testing Framework, or Mockito.
  • Experience resolving post-implementation issues using Splunk, SQL Developer, and Confluence.
  • Experience with project estimation and release activities using JIRA, change management using ServiceNow, and production deployments using UDeploy.
