Base Salary
$150k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and improve high-volume transaction broadcasting pipelines.
- Manage transaction lifecycles, including detection, retrying, rebroadcasting, and safe recovery of stuck transactions.
- Contribute to wallet infrastructure, automation systems, monitoring, observability, and operational guardrails.
- Design financially correct, reconcilable, auditable systems with safe parallel transaction handling.
- Build cross-chain and multi-step infrastructure for fiat-to-chain and chain-to-fiat journeys.
- Design state machines and recovery strategies for partial failures across non-atomic multi-step flows.
- Support routing and swap execution while considering price impact, liquidity changes, slippage, and MEV.
- Build reliable off-chain services that interact with on-chain contracts.
- Participate in project estimation, planning, implementation, testing, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Improve alerting, system resilience, reliability, and infrastructure scalability.
Requirements
- Strong backend and platform engineering fundamentals.
- Experience operating production systems with real uptime requirements.
- Hands-on experience interacting with live blockchain networks in production.
- Clear understanding of the transaction lifecycle and failure recovery in at least one blockchain.
- Experience with at least one wallet infrastructure or custody system, such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, or Solana.
- Awareness of MEV, slippage, pricing impact, and swap execution risks.
- Experience with high-throughput or financial systems is valued.
- Experience at exchanges, custody providers, wallet infrastructure teams, or high-volume DeFi platforms is a bonus.
- Familiarity with UTXO-based chains, including Bitcoin coin selection and fee-bumping strategies such as RBF and CPFP, is a bonus.
- Experience designing cross-chain or multi-step transaction orchestration systems is a bonus.
- Familiarity with blockchain indexing or event-ingestion pipelines is a bonus.
- Understanding of ERC-20 and SPL token standards and backend interaction with smart contracts is a bonus.
