Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner across product groups on distributed systems design, cloud technology interactions, infrastructure code, and large-scale dependencies.
- Lead by example, mentor engineers, and produce extensible and maintainable code used across products.
- Develop and promote engineering insights, best practices, and standards across system, platform, product development, and operations.
- Drive improvements to product architecture, code, features, operations, and end-to-end usage scenarios.
- Provide technical leadership in test maturity reviews, static analysis reviews, on-call rotations, and incident response.
- Resolve major incidents using deep business and technical expertise.
- Advance AI-powered observability, autonomous outage detection, AI-driven reliability, and customer-impact protection.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least 6 years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and applicable customer or government security screening requirements.
- Awareness of modern distributed software design patterns and cloud systems architecture, including microservices, containers, load balancing, queuing, and caching.
- Experience with C#, Java, C, C++, or Golang.
- Experience building, shipping, and operating reliable solutions.
- Experience with AI, ML, risk assessment systems, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architecture, design, and engineering practices across teams.
- Ability to drive operational excellence through automation, scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree with at least 8 years of experience or a bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
