Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive engineering initiatives from experimentation and evaluation through architecture, implementation, and customer delivery.
- Create, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve service performance, maintainability, and reliability.
- Build solutions across organizational boundaries and collaborate with product managers and customers using feedback and service telemetry.
- Participate in live-site operations and improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
- Mentor engineers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, design reviews, architecture proposals, and design documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud background check and other applicable Microsoft, customer, or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes 6+ years building commercial-grade software and mission-critical, large-scale, highly available cloud applications.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years building full-stack applications and 4+ years building products for developers.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $142,800–$274,800 per year, with a separate range for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for at least five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
