Responsibilities
- Support internal business units through shared engineering services, tools, and processes.
- Own projects end to end while working with stakeholders and internal customer-facing teams.
- Improve observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and telemetry integration.
- Identify and build continuous deployment improvements and use infrastructure as code in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on cross-functional infrastructure improvements.
- Automate upgrades for managed services and virtual machines.
- Design, build, test, and document core software components.
- Own running services by building for observability, participating in incident response, and handling customer support escalations.
- Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
Requirements
- Experience with CI/CD, secrets management, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Experience operating managed services in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Production experience operating Kubernetes is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with networks, including IP addressing and routing.
- Experience with Go is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with highly technical teams, and give and process constructive feedback.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
