Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks across web, API, and backend services.
- Serve as the technical authority for testing methodologies, tools, automation architecture, and best practices.
- Design and execute performance, load, and other non-functional tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Own automated-test integration, quality gates, coverage metrics, and rapid feedback across the development lifecycle.
- Debug complex application and test-infrastructure failures and identify root causes.
- Mentor junior and mid-level SDETs and software engineers on automation, testing strategy, and technical design.
- Create documentation and contribute to long-term quality roadmaps and technology decisions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise with the Playwright automation framework.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipeline architectures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of REST API testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and technical articulation skills.
- Ability to analyze defect trends, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and provide technical leadership.
- Established leadership or thought-leadership credentials in quality engineering.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers, using Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and applying DevOps practices.
- Preferred experience with K6, Jenkins or Harness, and JMeter for load and performance testing.
