Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own customer-impacting technical problems through resolution and drive long-term improvements to service reliability and resiliency.
- Design and implement Azure workload migration, protection, recovery, availability, disaster-recovery, and automation solutions.
- Investigate complex service issues, analyze system and operational data, determine root causes, and translate findings into engineering improvements.
- Partner across Azure and Microsoft engineering teams to manage dependencies, remove blockers, influence technical direction, and deliver capabilities for sovereign and air-gapped clouds.
- Improve observability, incident readiness, resiliency validation, recovery processes, and operational excellence for mission-critical workloads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements before and after hire.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with Polygraph.
- Successful clearance verification, Microsoft Cloud background check, and U.S. citizenship verification are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred working characteristics include ownership, urgency, cross-organizational collaboration, and driving problems to closure.
