Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Build and support distributed applications and microservices with appropriate operational stability and resiliency.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Analyze and visualize large, diverse data sets to identify patterns and drive improvements to applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing scripts and contribute reusable AI-assisted engineering practices to the broader team.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and distributed applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and a modern JavaScript framework.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, microservices architecture, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Experience with Selenium, web services, databases, PL/SQL, and Oracle database DDL, DML, and stored procedures.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to validate and refine generated outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security expectations, and the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Preferred qualifications include modern front-end technology familiarity, cloud technology exposure, full life-cycle experience in large systems, financial-industry experience, SI Framework knowledge, UNIX, Apache Tomcat, and SQL.
