Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and rapidly prototype AI agents within Coupa Agent Studio.
- Design agentic workflows, agent-to-agent communication, orchestration layers, extensibility frameworks, Embedded UI Assistant integrations, and MCP capabilities.
- Develop secure, low-latency integrations between AI agents and enterprise ERP, CLM, CRM, and Source-to-Pay systems.
- Partner with customer IT and security teams on technical feasibility, risk assessments, governance, and enterprise security requirements.
- Act as the technical liaison between customer engagements and Product Management, identifying roadmap gaps and influencing platform capabilities.
- Support technical pre-sales by creating reusable Agent Blueprints and rapid deployment proofs of concept.
- Design authorization boundaries, simulations, human-in-the-loop controls, evaluation frameworks, and automated testing for production AI workflows.
- Own monitoring, testing, health checks, remediation, consumption strategies, and performance tuning for AI agents and orchestration environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Middleware, API Engineering, Systems Architecture, or similar technical integration roles.
- Strong knowledge of REST, GraphQL, and JSON.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, including Node.js.
- Experience integrating and orchestrating non-deterministic AI systems with deterministic enterprise platforms.
- Understanding of Source-to-Pay requirements and the ability to map workflows across procurement, invoicing, and payables.
- Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks and open-standard orchestration architectures such as MCP, LangChain, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
- Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills across AI systems, APIs, prompts, integrations, latency, and data quality.
- Experience with enterprise digital transformation and strategic consulting engagements in large-scale environments.
- Ability to advise executive stakeholders, explain AI behavior and limitations to non-technical audiences, and build customer trust.
- Deep understanding of Coupa APIs, Compose, configurations, and platform architecture.
