Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native data protection workflows and backend features.
- Own components or subsystems from implementation through production operation.
- Build, operate, diagnose, and improve reliable production systems at large data scales.
- Translate loosely defined requirements into pragmatic, maintainable technical solutions.
- Make trade-offs balancing performance, cost efficiency, correctness, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Platform, Cloud Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including feature or component ownership through production operation.
- Experience building and operating non-trivial production systems and diagnosing real-world issues.
- Ability to translate loosely defined requirements into correct, maintainable technical solutions.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, Java, Python, C++, or Rust.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Preferred: experience with backend or cloud-native platforms, AWS, GCP, Azure, data-intensive systems, object storage, large-scale backend services, backup, disaster recovery, or data protection systems.
