Base Salary
$115k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership, consultation, mentoring, and guidance for test automation and quality engineering.
- Drive testing for multiple payments, messaging, liquidity, and banking projects using automation and quality strategies.
- Create technical roadmaps and enterprise or program-level test strategies.
- Design and manage technical proofs of concept and feasibility studies.
- Develop, extend, optimize, and maintain test automation frameworks for UI, microservices, and APIs.
- Analyze defects and issues, determine root causes, anticipate risks, and manage escalations.
- Promote and support automated CI/CD and continuous testing pipelines.
- Develop automated test metrics and ensure tests run early and frequently for rapid feedback.
- Mentor junior SDETs and lead employees or contractors across complex programs.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and technical and business stakeholders.
- Improve automation libraries, processes, standards, and best practices while ensuring framework compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 14–18 years of overall experience, including at least 8 years in quality engineering.
- 5–8 years of experience implementing test automation.
- 5–8 years of experience leading teams of employees or contractors.
- Experience with multi-tiered, complex system design and architecture.
- Lead-level experience with Java, Selenium or LeanFT, BDD using Cucumber or JBehave, TestNG, and Eclipse or IntelliJ.
- Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, or Concourse; Maven; Git; and Bitbucket for DevOps and CI/CD tooling.
- Expertise in QA processes, techniques, and methodologies, including forecasting, estimation, and ROI analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate in global, cross-functional teams.
- Banking or financial-domain familiarity and experience leading large programs are preferred.
- Exposure to AI-based quality engineering solutions is preferred.
