Base Salary
$159k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise performance testing, automation, and quality engineering strategy.
- Architect and execute performance, resiliency, failover, API, contract, and service-virtualization testing for cloud-native, containerized, event-driven, hybrid, and distributed systems.
- Develop automation scripts and frameworks using commercial and open-source testing tools.
- Evaluate performance-testing tools and APM platforms and correlate test results with production telemetry.
- Establish a performance engineering Center of Excellence or enterprise maturity model.
- Present findings to leadership and drive architectural improvements.
- Mentor mid-level and senior engineers on performance and failover testing methodologies.
- Integrate testing, defect tracking, scheduling, reporting, CI/CD, and observability tools across the enterprise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an analytical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of IT industry experience, including at least 5 years in Quality Engineering, tool architecture, and orchestration.
- At least 7 years of experience with agile testing practices and at least 7 years integrating Jira and test-management tools.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience architecting and executing performance testing in AWS environments.
- Strong experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Java, Python, Selenium, Cucumber, and automation framework development.
- Strong understanding of Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, event-driven systems, containerized architectures, and resiliency implications.
- Experience with UC4/Automic scheduling and orchestration, enterprise reporting, Jenkins pipelines, and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, ETL, reporting and visualization, test management, defect tracking, API testing, and contract testing.
- Experience with observability and APM platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, AWS Vantage, and LogicMonitor.
- Experience with JavaScript, VBScript, Postman, RestAssured, Pact, Alteryx, Tableau, and service virtualization.
- Understanding of SRE principles, SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, FinOps, and cost-aware cloud performance engineering.
- Experience with regulated financial-market infrastructure or other low-latency, high-availability environments is preferred.
- AWS and/or performance engineering certifications are preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and time-management skills.
