Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure software solutions across multiple application components.
- Build and maintain full-stack Java web applications and related backend and web UI components.
- Consider upstream and downstream system dependencies and technical implications when implementing solutions.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Deploy applications and microservices to cloud and Kubernetes platforms.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Expertise developing full-stack Java web applications.
- Strong Java/J2EE design, coding, testing, and debugging skills.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Hibernate, and REST services.
- Strong ReactJS experience plus JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS web UI skills.
- Expertise with traditional relational SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying microservices to cloud and Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience with Agile and TDD development methodologies.
- Preferred: understanding of user-centered design and usability practices, including the SALT design system.
- Preferred: experience with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS and Databricks.
