Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert on one or more DTCC applications.
- Work with business analysts to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to identify and deploy optimal hosting environments.
- Tune application performance and research technical solutions aligned with DTCC standards.
- Design components and programs, construct applications, and create unit tests for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Support development teams with testing, troubleshooting, production support, and complex distributed-system incident resolution.
- Develop and deploy containerized backend applications and contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Apply risk and control processes, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with QA, DevOps, product management, architecture, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Java full-stack development experience, including Spring Boot and Angular or React.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and implementing API Gateway patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in SQL, relational database concepts, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns and programming techniques.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Maven, Jenkins, large modular codebases, and monorepos.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production incidents in distributed systems.
- Experience with Snowflake, data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and real-time processing frameworks is preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills, with experience in Agile development, code reviews, and technical excellence.
- Experience using modern code-assistant tools to improve development productivity.
