Responsibilities
- Design and govern enterprise application and systems architectures, translating business requirements into scalable solutions and roadmaps.
- Define architecture standards, governance frameworks, technical guidelines, target-state architectures, and portfolio roadmaps.
- Architect and review service-oriented, microservices, SaaS, web services, API, and message-driven solutions.
- Lead solution design across AIX, Linux, and Windows platforms, including enterprise application hosting and infrastructure deployment.
- Provide technical leadership across Java, .NET, middleware, and multiple technology stacks.
- Promote engineering best practices involving code quality, unit testing, test coverage, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct architecture and technology reviews to identify risks, optimization opportunities, modernization needs, and platform enhancements.
- Develop resource optimization strategies and risk mitigation plans aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, infrastructure, vendor, cloud provider, and client stakeholder teams to ensure practical solution delivery and architecture adoption.
- Drive innovation through AI, automation, modern engineering practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, architecture, consulting, digital transformation, or large-scale IT modernization.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
- Experience breaking down enterprise requirements into system specifications and engineering web services, web APIs, and message queues.
- Experience designing Service-Oriented Architecture, microservices, scalable multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and multi-OS systems.
- Enterprise expertise in Java or .NET technology suites and comprehensive knowledge of middleware technologies.
- Mastery of more than one development technology stack.
- Experience reviewing infrastructure setups and enterprise application hosting.
- Experience driving engineering best practices, measuring and monitoring performance, and profiling upgraded or newly installed systems.
- Experience setting technical standards, Enterprise Architecture Governance Frameworks, portfolio risk mitigation, resource optimization, and target roadmaps.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or equivalent; MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc., or equivalent postgraduate qualification is acceptable.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.
- Preferred experience with modern front-end and user interface technologies, C++, PHP, open-source development ecosystems, major technical design decisions, and lifecycle ownership.
- Hands-on experience with EA tools such as Mega Hopex, Avolution ABACUS, Planview, or Orbus iServer.
